Injuries Cause Shuffle to Bellator 160’s Main Card
Featherweight Henry Corrales (12-3) and Woman’s Flyweight Lena Ovchynnikova (11-4) had been scheduled to be part of the Bellator 160 card, but have both had to withdraw siting injury.
Undefeated AJ McKee (4-0) was going to face Corrales, but will instead take on Cody Walker (8-4). McKee hasn’t scene a 2nd round as a pro and has won his last 3 by (T)KO. Walker has won 3 of his last 4 fights and just 12 days ago on short notice scored a 1st round knockout of Conrad Padilla.
Unfortunately for Ovchynnikova’s scheduled opponent Jaimelene Nievera (4-1) a qualified opponent wasn’t found. This means that Bubba Jenkins vs. Georgi Karakhanyan part II is on the main card. The new feature online prelim will be Chinzo Machida vs. Mario Navarro.
Bellator 160 is August 26th at the Honda Center in LA, Califorina.
