In the main event “The Happy Warrior” Roxanna Modafferi (19-12) of Syndicate MMA challenges Brazilian, Jennifer Maia (13-4-1) of Chute Boxe, for the Invicta FC interim Flyweight title. Modafferi has won 4 of her last 5, with consecutive wins over Mariana Morais (tko) and DeAnna Bennett (sd). Maia has won 6 of 7 and is on a 4 fight win streak. Maia captured the Invicta FC interim Flyweight title at Invicta FC 16 back in March, with a unanimous decision win over Vanessa Porto.
The co-main event will see Japan’s Ayaka Hamasaki (13-1) defending the Invitac FC Atomweight title against, Texan, Jinh Yu Frey (5-1). Hamasaki is on a 4fight win streak, won the title at Ivicta FC 13 with a split decision victory over Herica Tiburcio, and successfully defended it, submitting Amber Brown at Invicta FC 16. Frey has won 3 straight having submitted Cassie Robb and taken decisions from Liz McCarthy and Herica Tiburcio.
