Having his steroid suspension cut from 3 years to just 1 year, former Bellator Middleweight champion Alexander “Storm” Shelmenko (53-9-0, 1nc), will be making his return to the Bellator cage on October 21st , against UFC vet Kendall “Da Spyder” Grove (23-15-0, 1nc).

Shelmenko last fought in Bellator in February of 2015, defeating Melvin Manhoef with a 2nd round TKO. The failed drug test changed the result to a no contest. Sidelined with the suspension Shelmenko fought twice for M-1 Global scoring a decision and submission win over Vyacheslav Vasilevsky.

Grove is 4-2 in Bellator, coming off consecutive wins over Joey Beltran (tko) and Francisco France (ko). A search of the internet also found that Grove, this is unconfirmed, is expected to face Matt Baker, October 28th in Alberta, Canda.

The October 21st event will be at the FedEx forum in Memphis, Tennessee, and will also feature Bobby Lashley (14-2, 4-0 Bellator) against a yet to be named opponent. The event should be Bellator 162, but that is not official.
