Celine Haga meets Lisa Ellis at GKO 8
November 19th’s Global Knockouts 8, has announced a very intriguing woman’s strawweight bout that will see JacksonWink MMA’s Cline Haga against UFC vet Lisa Ellis of the United Training Center.
Haga, who was born in Norway, has fought all around the world, including for Jewels, Road FC, BAMMA, and once before for GKO. Haga lost 10 of her first 11 fight but has since went 9-2, with a current 4 fight win streak of 1st round submissions. In fact Haga has all 7 of her finishes by way of submission with 4 armbars and 3 chokes.
Ellis has been fighting as a pro since 2004. The Olympia, Washington, native was also apart of the original Bellator Woman’s Strawweight tournament and headlined the 1st Invicta FC event, losing to Jessica Peene via 3rd rd TKO. Ellis has 11 wins via submission but has been submitted in her last two, and has only won 3 of her last 8.
