School of Hard Knocks Line up for Boxing on September 10th
School of Hard Knocks Promotions Boxing event on September 10th at the Lea County Event Center, in Hobbs, New Mexico, is the first of 3 Boxing events happening in New Mexico this month.
The main event will be a local affair with Edgar Zubia and Oscar Espinoza both of Hobbs, facing off. Zubia just 14 months ago survived being flung out of his truck, breaking a leg, both arms, shattering his hip, and incurring large mounts off road rash. Just returning to a normal life is an amazing accomplishment. Inside the ring Zubia will be looking to end a 2 fight skid. In December , Espinoza won his pro debut with a TKO of Kelly Westby.
The card will also see 5 fighters making their pro debuts, including Isidro Castillo in the co-main event, who’ll be facing Oscar Delaparra, who hasn’t fought in 45 months. Another one of those debut-er’s will be 15 fight MMA vet Richard Villa.
Undefeated, with 6 wins and 6 knockouts, Matthew “The Diamond Boy” Griego will face his most experienced foe, in the form of 12 fight vet Rafael Rivera, who’s on a 2 fight skid.
