Steve Garcia faces Ronnie Lawrence at Bellator 162

Bellator MMA has a added a Bantamweight bout to Bellator 162 in Memphis with, JacksonWink fighter Steve “Mean Machine” Garcia set to take on Tennessee native Ronnie Lawrence.

Garcia (6-1) is a Rio Rancho resident, who went 3-0 as an amateur with 2 knock outs. As a pro the “Mean Machine”  has 5 finishes, all knock outs. He’ll looking to rebound from a March, split decision loss to Rick Turcios. At 24 years old and 6 feet fall, the dangerous striker is one of Bellator’s youngest, tallest, and hungriest prospects in the division.

Lawrence (3-0) is also 24 years old and is a striker, known for his kickboxing, a sport he won titles in. In MMA Lawrence went 7-0 as an amateur and has won his first 3 pro bouts. Lawrence has scored 2 of those wins by TKO, with one via spinning back kick.

This match-up, at least on paper, shapes up to possibly be a show steal-er, with 2 exciting strikers looking to make a statement.

Bellator 162 takes place on October 21st at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
