Bellator MMA & BAMMA team for December 16th Event in Dublin
December 16th will be Bellator MMA’s first show in Ireland with a Heavyweight main event pitting Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal against Satoshi Ishii.
Lawal is a former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight, who’ll be looking to rebound from a decision loss to Phil Davis, which ended a 7 fight win streak, that saw 4 knock out victories. Ishii was a former Judo Olympian, who is looking to end a 2 fight skid and rebound from his Bellator MMA, debut, split decision loss to Rampage Jackson.
On the BAMMA side of the Card Alan “The Apprentice” Philpott challenges Tom “Fire Kid” Duquesnoy for the BAMMA Bantamweight championship. Philpott has 8 of 11 stoppage wins by submission and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Aaron Blackwell. Duqusenoy is unbeaten in his last 10, with a 4 fight win streak. Duqusenoy has had dynamic knockout victories in his last two fight stopping Damien Rooney & Shay Walsh; both in the first round.
In a battle for the BAMMA Featherweight title Ronnie “Iron Mann” Mann, who’s coming off a first round knock out of Graham Turner, meets Martin “.50 Cal” Stapelton, who’s on a 5 fight win streak, with 2 knock out, 2 submissions; and both are Bellator vets.
