KOTC: Duke City II, set for November 26th
The Embassy Suites will once again be hosting King of the Cage, this time on Saturday, November 26th, with a championship main event as Tim Sosa and Johnny Guillen battle for the vacant KOTC Jr. Flyweight title.
Tim Sosa (7-4) is a member of Albuquerque’s Fit NHB, who has won 3 of his last 4. Sosa is looking to rebound from a short notice, decision loss, up a weight-class, to Tony Gravely. Under 135 lbs. Sosa has won 3 straight, including a very impressive performance, in the main event of KOTC: Fight Game, when he shut down Jimmy Flick’s take downs and beat the wrestler up on the feet. Up date (10/22/16, 9 pm MT) Tim Sosa has scored a 1st rd TKO of Ben Miller in a 160 lbs. Catchweight, at KOTC: Revolutionary.
Johnny Guillen (4-1) is a member of Red Spider MMA from El Paso, Texas. Guillen also holds a (7-4-1) pro boxing record, this man is a fighter and will fight wherever he can. Guillen in the cage Gullien won his first 4 fight, including TKO’s of Levi Lucero and Ben Acost, but is looking to rebound from a TKO to Jesus Urbina.
In the night co-main event, at Middleweight Anthony “Iron Man” Rozema (4-1) of Judgement MMA in Rio Ranch, NM squares off with Randy McCarty (5-7) of Las Cruces, NM, who is a member of Red Spider MMA.
Anthony Rozema is a powerful striker who’s coming off a 1st round TKO of Thomas Powell, his 3rd pro knock out victory, rebounding from a submission loss to Omar Acosta. McCarty like his teammate Johnny Guillen, also boxes too having a (1-2-1) record. Inside the cage the always exciting, McCarty has won 3 of his last 4, with consecutive wins over Nick Salantri (sub) and Ricardo Guerra (sd).
The pro side of the card is also expected to see former KOTC Womans Flyweight champion and SCS Bantamweight champion Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzalez-Means (7-3) in action.
