The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, is playing host to Bellator 163, headlined by “Mr. Wonderful” Phil Davis challenging Liam McGeary for the Bellator Light Heavyweight title.
Davis (16-3) is 3-0 in Bellator, which includes submitting Emanuel Newton and knockoing out Francis Carmont in the same night to win the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix; Davis then smanaged to edge out “King Mo” on the judges score cards at Bellator 154. McGeary has grown up as a fighter in the Bellator cage with 8 wins in 3 ½ years and a 11-0 mark overall. Of his 11 wins McGeary has only seen the decision once the night he dominantly took the Belllator Light Heavyweight Title from Emanuel Newton. McGearry’s confidence has to be at a all time high coming off a 1st round submission, in his first title defense, against one of the greatest Light Heavyweights of all time, Tito Ortiz.
