LFA 1 to crown Unified Bantamweight Champion

The developmental scene for MMA will never be the same again and that was known back in September, when the Legacy FC, RFA ,2017 merger, to LFA, was announced. Now the first Legacy Fighting Alliance event (LFA 1) has been announced for the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas, on January 13th; with Legacy Fighting Championship Bantamweight champion Steven “Oucho” Peterson (14-4) colliding with Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight champion Leandro “Pitbull” Higo (16-2) to become the 1st ever LFA Bantamweight champion.

Plano, Texas’s, Steven Peterson is on a 6 fight win streak, with 5 wins inside the Legacy cage. Back in June at Leagcy FC 56, “Ocho” won the Legacy Title with a 4th round submission of Manny Vazquez. Peterson has 6 of 10 stoppage wins by submission.

Brazil’s Leandro Higo, is on a 7 fight win streak with a 3-0 mark in the RFA cage. Higo has 4 of those 7 wins by rear naked choke and has 10 of 13 finishes by submission. Higo won the RFA 135 title by submitting Joey Miolla in just over 2 minutes, at RFA 37.
