Multiple Additions to Bellator 167 Including 2 Rematches
An injury to Pat Curran, has led to the rematch between Patricky “Pitbull” Freire & Derek Campos being named main event of the 2nd night of Bellator Double Header.
Their first match-up saw Freire score a 2nd round TKO victory at Bellator 117, back in April of 2014. Freire has since went 3-3 and is coming off a 1st round knock out loss to Bellator Lightweight Champion, Michael Chandler. Campos is 3-2 since the loss with consecutive wins over Melvin Guillard (ko) and Djamil Chan (ud).
John Teixeira, who’s on a 5 fight win streak, had expected to face Pat Curran, will instead tangle with former RFA Champion Justin Lawrence, who’s won 5 of 6; comng off a 2nd round TKO of Isao Kobayashi.
The main card will also see a rematch from Bellator 159 as Darrion Caldwell will look to avenge his 3rd round submission loss to Joe Taimanglo, who’s on a 4 fight win streak; but did miss weight in their first meeting.

Bellator 167 is December 3rd at the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
