ufc205

I can’t believe it! Is it finally really here? Fight week for UFC 205. The Ultimate Fighting Championships first event in the “Big Apple”, and appropriately taking place inside the mecca for all combat sports Madison Square Garden. With a card stacked up to be the greatest event in Combat Sports history.

The card will feature 4 Champions, 3 Title Fights, 3 former Champions, 2 former title challengers, 4 undefeated ascending fighters ; and only 5 fighters on the card aren’t ranked in their divisions top 15. The Combined records of fighters on the UFC 205 card is 392-116-5, which is over a 75 % win ratio.

With all that has transpired outside the octagon from press conferences, to media calls, and other types of sound bites, it’s now time to focus on the action that will transpire inside the octagon. Conor McGregor has the biggest opportunity of anyone, a chance to make history, with a victory becoming the first fighter to hold 2 UFC Title simultaneously. A card stacked as such has created a lot of great conversation, with everyone weighing in on who will win, the why and the how.

The road to get where we are has been long. The fight to get MMA Legalized in New York was so grueling and confusing that UFC 205 isn’t just another MMA event it’s a celebration of so many people’s work. The night deserves to the special, to be epic.

The battle to legalize MMA in New York was big on the UFC to do list along with cleaning up the sports. Many events this year have seen fights have to be changed or canceled by potential USADA violation and this monumental event has had one such incident.

From weeks of breaking new and conversation, to this Saturday night sit back an enjoy watching history, to long in the making, UFC NY.
