World Series of Fighting will kick off 2017 with WSOF 35 on February 25th. The main event will see Shawn “The Savage” Jordan (19-7) challenging Blagoy Ivanov (14-1) for the WSOF Heavyweight title.
Shawn Jordan is a 32 year old member of American op team, played college football for LSU. In the cage “The Savage” a UFC and Vellator vet, who has won 4 of his last 5, and is coming off a 1st round TKO of Ashley Gooch in his promotional debut, at WSOF 33. Jordan has earned 15 of 18 stoppage wins by knockout.
Blagoy Ivanov is a 30 year old from Bulgaria, who is also a Bellator vet. Ivanov is 3-0 in the WSOF decagon having submitted Smealinho Rama to win the title. The twice successfully defend it, by Tko-ing Derrick Mehmen, and most recently taking a unanimous decision from Josh Coeland. Ivanov has 6 of 11 finishes by submission.
