The Bellator 170 main card has added a Featherweight addition that will see former WSOF Featherweight champion “Insane” Georgi Karakhanyan of Millenia MMA against Emmanuel “El Matador” Sanchez of Roufusport.

Karakhanyan started this his second run with Bellator in the beginning of 2015, choking Bubba Jenkins to sleep. Following consecutive decision losses to Daniel Weichel and Pat Curran, Karakhanyan would get his momentum with a second victory over Jenkins, this one by knock out. At the beginning of November in Israel at Bellator 164, Karakhaanyan with a TKO of Kirill Medvedovsky.

Sanchez is 5-2 in Bellator, with the last 6 fights all going to the score cards and the last 4 all being split decisions, with 3 going in Sanchez’s favor. But Sanchez is looking to rebound from the one that didn’t at Bellator 159 when Daniel Weichel got his hand raised. Sanchez has 5 of 6 finishes by submission, but has proved to be an ultra aggressive and fun to watch striker.

Bellator 170 is January 21st at The Forum in Ingelwood, California.
