Vannata faces Teymur at UFC 209
Two of the UFC’s hottest Lightweight prospects will meet at March 4th’s UFC 209, as the promotion announced JacksonWink fighter “Groovy” Landon Vannata (9-1) will face Allstars Training Centers David Teymur (5-1).
Vannata made his promotional debut on short notice against top ranked contender Tony Ferguson and even had Ferguson in trouble, before getting caught in a Ferguson patent barbo choke. Just 18 days ago Vannata stepped into the octagon for the 2nd time scoring one of the top knock outs of 2016, with a spinning wheel kick, that turned out the lights on John Makdessi.
Sweden’s Teymur, has also stepped into the octagon twice,but with his hand being raised both times. Teymur hasn’t faced a top ranked oppoent but has taken care of Martin Svensson (tko) and Jason Novelli (ko) in the 2nd round.
UFC 209takes place on March 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
