MVP vs. Derek Anderson Added to Bellator 179
The English fans of Bellator MMA will be excited to hear that undefeated, Michael “Venom” Page will be on the card when Bellator is in London, on May 19 against “The Barbaric” Derek Anderson.
The human highlight reel that is Michael Page, started off 2016 in spectacular fashion, submitting Jeremie Holloway with an Achilles lock, crushing the forehead of Evangelista Santos with a flying knee, but “MVP” ended the year taking a split decision from Fernando Gonzalez, in a lackluster affair.
Anderson will be moving up to Welterweight after 8 fights in Bellator at Lightweight, going 5-3, but is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Derek Campos, which ended a 2 fight win streak. Anderson will be looking to get back to the form, that saw 7 of his first 10 fights end in the 1st round, while his last 5 have all went into the 3rd round.
Bellator 172 is set for May 19 at Wembley Arena in London, England.
