Wilfredo Santiago Jr. challenges Chris Curtis for Welterweight Title at CES MMA 42

Classic Entertainment Sports has announced a 2nd title for March 31st’s, CES MMA 42, that will see Chris “The Action Man” Curtis defending the CES MMA Welterweight title for the fist time against Wilfredo “The Brown Bomber” Santiago Jr..

Winner of 4 of his last 5, Chris Curtis capped off a 3 fight win streak, winning the Welterweight title at CES MMA 32, forcing Gil de Freitas to tap from strikes. At CES MMA 34 Curtis was expected to make his first title defense, but challenger Nah-shon Burrell missed weight. The fight would see Burrell walk away with a split decision. Curtis got back in the win 2 months later with a unanimous decision victory over Leo Bercier.

Training in his native Massachusetts and coming to Albuquerque, NM, to work with the JacksonWink Academy, Wilfredo Santiago Jr., has put together a 4 fight win streak, following a 3-3 start to his pro career. All 4 fights have ended in the first round, with 3 ending by knock out, including putting down UFC vet and former CES MMA champion Chuck O’Neil, in 41 seconds at CES MMA 39.
