Marcos Galvao moves to Featherweight, Faces Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 175

During Bellator 174 is was announced that former Bellator Bantamweight champion, Marcos “Loro” Galvao will move up a weight class for a March 31, date with Emmanuel “El Matador” Sanchez.

A Brazilian, who now resides in New York, Galvao has won 5 of his last 6 fights. In December, Galvao rebounded from losing the Bellator Bantamweight title and having a 4 fight win streak ended by a unanimous decision loss to Eduardo Dantas, with a split decision victory over LC Davis. Galvao is a BJJ practitioner, with good wrestling, and is a brawler who throws to finish with every punch, while on the feet.

A member of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Roufsport gym, Emmanuel Sanchez has won 4 of his last 5 fights. While not victorious in all 8 of his Bellator fights that have all been entertaining. Sanchez is coming off a Bellator 170 majority decision win over former WSOF Featherweight champion Georgi Karakhanyan. Sanchez is dangerous in the scramble, has an underrated submission game, and on the feet continues to pressure with combinations in volume.

Bellator 175 is March 31 at the AllState Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
