Trio of New Mexico Fighters in Action at Tuff-N-Uff on May 20th
Sources have let me know that amateurs Bryan Linares, , and Chris Rojas will be fighting at Tuff-N-Uff, one of the top amateur promotions in the country’s, show on May 20th in Mesquite, Nevada.
Energetic striker Bryan Linares (3-2) of ANK Muay Thia in Santa Fe and Lutrrell/Yee MMA in ABQ, will be facing Brandon Rease (5-6) of The Garage, from Layton Utah. Linares, who has an amateur Kickboxing title, has won 3 of his last 4 fights, but following a hard fought win over Ambrose vigil, has found himself on the losing end of his last 2 bouts. Rease loss his first 3 fights, has recently lost his last 2 after a 2 fight win streak.
A kicker on the feet and slick with his submissions, Slade Ring (5-4) of the JacksonWink Academy in ABQ, will tangle with Mike Esco (4-4) of Hybrid Athletics in Portage, Indiana. Ring has all his wins by stoppage, 4 submissions and 1 TKO, but is looking to rebound from a decision loss to Youssef Zalaal, from SCL 56.
Also pitting the JacksonWink Academy against Hybrid Athletics, is Chris Rojas (4-2) vs. Ken Sangster (4-1). Following a disappointing amateur debut split decision loss, former La Cueva wrestler Chris Rojas ran off 4 straight wins, before a short notice submission loss to Juan Gandara. Sangster won his first 3 amateur fights with a pair of submissions included, before a decision loss, but had rebound with a decision victory just over 2 weeks ago, after a year away from action.
