Former Bellator Welterweight champion Andrey “Spartan” Koreshkov (19-2) clash with Chidi “Chidi Bang Bang” Njokuani (17-4) in the Bellator 182, main event August 25th.
Koreshkov will be returning to the cage for the first time since November, when he lost the title to back to Douglas Lima, ending a 6 fight win streak. Njokuani is unbeaten in his last 9 fights, with a 7 fight win streak, most recently scoring a unanimous decision win over Melvin Guillard in the main event of of Bellator 171.
The co-main event will also be at Welterweight as “Irish” Brennan Ward (14-5) tangles with Fernando “The Menifee Maniac” Gonzalez (26-14). Ward has won 5 of 7 and is looking to rebound from a January knock out loss to Paul Daley. Gonzalez has won 6 of 7, coming off a March unanimous decision win over Brandon Girtz.
Bellator 182 will take place at the Turbibg Stone Casino in Verona, New York, and will also feature undefeated AJ McKee.
