Combate 15 Set for June 30th in Mexico City, 3 bouts confirmed
Combate Americas have announced, they will be presenting Combate 15, on Friday June 30th at the Salas de Armas. The first three bout including the main & co-main events have been made official.
In the main event Lightweights Rodrigo “Kazula” Vargas (6-3) & Danny “The Realist” Martinez (6-2) square off. Vargas a finisher with all 6 his win by stoppage, is coming off having a 4 fight win streak ended by a split decision loss to Marco Antonio Elpidio. Winner of 3 out of his last 4 fights, Ramirez has won back to back fights, including defeating Erick Gonzalez by unanimous decision at Combate 11.
The co-main event has Andres “The Bullet” Quintana (11-2) against fellow Featherweight Levy “El Negro” Saul Marroquin (5-1). Quintana the fighting pride of Roswell, NM, and the only ever Triple A MMA Champion, has 9 wins by knock out. During his past 10 fight win streak “The Bullet” had 8 straight wins. Quintana made is coming off a sensational performance in his promotional debut, scoring a unanimous decision win over Erick Sanchez. Marroquin started his career off 4-0, with 4 stoppages. Following a decision loss to Allan Zunia, Marroquin got back in the win column at Combat 12, with a split decision win over Pablo Sabori.
The card will also see Melissa Martinez(1-0), who won her pro debut with a 57 second TKO of Iliana Lopez, against Yajaira Romo (3-2), who following a 3 fight win streak, is looking to halt a two fight skid.
