Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means (26-8-1) has been granted his wish, by the UFC to perform in his parents hometown of Oklahoma City on June 25th. The fight will be against Alex “The Dominican Nightmare” Garcia (14-3).
Means of Fit NHB in Albuquerque, NM, will be looking to rebound from a March submission loss to Alex Oliveria, which was a rematch from a December 2016, no contest, due to Means landing a pair of illegal knees to Oliveira. Prior to the pair of fights with Oliveira, Means had scored back to back knock out wins. Means has 18 of 22 stoppage wins by knock out.
Garcia, who trains out of the Montreal, Canada’s Tristar Gym, is 4-2 inside the octagon. Last in action at UFC 207, Garcia scored a crushing knock out of durable vet Mike Pyle. The win got Garcia back on track following a TKO loss to Sean Strickland. Garcia has 11 stoppage victories with 6 by knock out.
UFC Fight Night 112 takes place on June 25th, Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
