Anderson Out, Cybor Meets Evinger at UFC 214

Citing personal reasons Megan Anderson (8-2) has withdrew from UFC 214, however Cris “Cyborg” Justino (17-1) will remain on the card, still competing for the vacant UFC women’s Featherweight title.

On the other side of the octagon from “Cyborg” on July 29th will be Invicta FC Bantamweight champion Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger (19-5-0, 1nc) This is the second time In weeks that Evinger has replaced Anderson. Evinger first replaced Anderson in the Invicta FC 24, when it was announced that Anderson-Cyborg would be happening at UFC 214.

Evinger is 10-0-0, 1nc in since September of 2011. Evinger became Invicta FC Bantamweight champion at Invicta FC 13 with a TKO of Irene Aldana. Evinger has since defended the 3 times. Evinger has 15?of her 18 wins by stoppage having 8 knock out and 7 submissions.

Justino became the inaugural Invicta FC Featherweight champion at Invicta FC 11 with a TKO of Marlowe’s Coenen. “Cyborg” successfully defended her crown with consecutive first round stoppages. Justino has since fought her last two fights, both stoppage wins, inside the octagon at 140 lbs. catchweights, in efforts to drop to Bantamweight.

UFC 214 is July 29 at the Honda Center i Anaheim, California.
