The Ultimate Fighting Championship is in Brazil for UFC 212 at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The main event has champion Jose Aldo & Interim champion Max Holloway unifying the Featherweight title.
Aldo a member of Rio’s Nova Uniao gym the last ever WEC and first ever UFC Featherweight title. Aldo defended the UFC belt 7 times before a knockout loss to Conor McGregor. Aldo regained the vacant championship with a unanimous decision victory over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200. Aldo has 14 of 26 wins by knockout. Aldo is sharp with his jab and throws heavy hooks and crosses, plus some of the heaviest leg kicks in all of MMA. Hawaii’s Holloway has been in the UFC since his 5th professional fight. Currently on a 10 fight win streak “Blessed” on the interim Featherweight title at UFC 206 with a TKO of former Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. Holloway has a good jab, dose great body work, and a accurate spinning kick, plus long limbs for submissions.
