The Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colorado, is the host to Top Shelf Entertainment’s Rubicon V “Look twice save a life”. The feature contest is a Welterweight title bout, as undefeated Adam Vigil, squares off with, heavy handed Travis Aragon.

This event is in honor of Jordan Munoz, a biker, a Pueblo Colorado resident, who a year ago was fatally hit in a motor vehicle accident. The tragedy inspired the “Look Twice Save a Life” campaign.

Recap- The night got started quickly with Nick Graziano vs. Jon Nelson-Griffith. They battled right into the clinch, as they hit the ground Nelson takes back position, slips in the choke for the finish. Fight two Jerome Manning vs. Benjamin Mesteth II, also quickly went to the ground after Benjamin Mesteth II, slipped on a kick. Masteth regrouped quickly locked in a triangle an with a few adjustments fiound the tap. In fight 3 Nate Cullision showed off quick feet a sharp right hand, that dropped Joseph Quintana. Cullision with heavy ground and pound forced Quintana to scramble, Cullision took the back An immediately sunk in the choke forcing stoppage. The stoppages kept coming as Cole Griego rebound from spending part of round one on his back, to deliver knees in the clinch that led to a takedown. Griego moved right to mount, after 15 landed strikes, Leon tried to scramble but gave his back, getting finished in round two by RNC. Caleb Crumb vs. Tyler Arvin was the first to go to the judges decision. Crumb implemented a wrestling heavy game plan, avoiding a early deep guillotine attempt, and doing the most on his work from inside Arvin’a guard in route to the victory. Austin Brown against Bryan Romero also went all three rounds. The majority of the fight Romero spent on top controlling the action with his wrestling and even bloodying Brown up a bit, in scoring the decision win. Closing out the amateur card Dylan Sttublefield defending his Featherweight title against Fernando Sanchez. After a feeling out process on the feet Subblefield went to his grappling, a fence grab got them back to the feet. The second time stubblefield got in to the ground his was able to flow around Sanchez, who would get stuck on his knees, the ref would jump in and stop the fight due to unanswered strikes. Opening up the pro card Phil Gonzalez took on Cody Hoffstatter. Hoffstatter closed the distance took the fight to the ground, got the back, but Gonzalez escaped the choke. Gonzalez then back to his feet got the ref to break a Hoffstatter takedown attempt. Gonzalez throwing in combination would find the Hoffstatter chin, turning out the lights and end the bout with a perfect right hook in the first round. Second up in the pro card Levi Lucero took on Robert Fraterelli. After a Freaterelli leg kick, Lucero close the distance got the take down on his third attempt but in scramble gave his back and got submitted by a rear naked choke. Next up Jordan Titoni took on Jake Mendez and for 3 round when Titoni would feel threatened on he feet, he was able to rely on his wrestling, advancing to mount on a few occasions grinding out a unanimous decision. Adam Martinez vs Kendale Young was a barn burner. Martinez got clipped three times by right hands dropped but recovered stunned Young with a punch took the fight to the ground. Martinez landed some punches to the body, just before the bell  a right hand to Young’s temple. Young got up wobbly and his corner threw in the towel between rounds. In the co-main event Eric Grant right away landed a high kick on Manuel Gallardo. Gallardo wanted the fight on the ground from there on out but was put on his back after a deep guillotine. Grant would win the scrambles and continually work his striking from having back mount. Between round Gallardo would tell his corner his rib was broke and the ref would waive off the fight. In the main event Welterweight title fight between Adam Vigil & Travis Aragon, Vigil scored a knock down with the first overhand right he threw. Vigil followed Aragon to the ground trapping Aragon against the cage and punched to finish.
