Garbrandt-Dillashaw take 2 heads to MSG

Once Teammates, than rivals, and after 6 weeks of being opposing coaches on a reality show, enemies. Cody “No Love” Garbrandt announce through social media that he’ll be defending his UFC Bantamweight champion against former title holder TJ Dillashaw at UFC 217.

There first meeting was scheduled for UFC 213, but a Garbrandt back injury changed those plans. After Garbrandt’s injury was announced, Dillashaw went on a campaign to to challenge Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, which didn’t succeed.

Team Alpha Males Garbrandt is a Ohio native who has 9 of his 11 wins by knock out. In December of 2016, at UFC 207, Garbrandt won the UFC title with a unanimous decision victory over Dominick Cruz.

Dillashaw train under Duane Ludwig and At Kings MMA. When Dillashaw was champion he successfully defended the title twice. Since losing the title to Dominick Cruz by split decision in January of 2016, Dillashaw has won consecutive decisions over Raphael Assuncao & John Lineker.

UFC 217 is November 4, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
