Pitbull vs Weichel 2 heads to Israel
Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (26-4) will make the first title defense of his 2nd champion reign against Daniel “Drake” Weichel (39-9) in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Since knocking out Weichel at Bellator 138, Pitbull has went 2-2. At Bellator 145, “Pitbull’ lost the title to to Daniel Straus by decision, rebounded by submitting Henry Corrales, but then lost by TKO due to injury, to Benson Henderson, and is coming off regaining his title by submitting Daniel Straus in April. Freire has 20 stoppage win with 11 by submission.
Since Bellator 138, Weichel has won 4 straight with decisions over Georgi Karakhanyan, Emmanuel Sanchez, and John Teixeira, plus a 1st round submission of Brian Moore. The German fighter is known as a technical striker but of his 27 finishes, 22 have come by submission.
The card will also see at Middleweight, John Salter (14-3), who’s on a 6 fight win streak, against Russia’s Anatoly Tokov (25-2), who’s won 18 of his last 19 fights.
