Johnson vs Borg take 2, heads to Las Vegas

Last weekends cancelled UFC 213 Flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson & Ray Borg has been rebooked.

Johnson will now look for his record breaking 11th consecutive titled defense October 7 in Las Vegas at UFC 216.

Their UFC 213 contest was cancelled after UFC doctors pulled Borg, who had a viral illness, from the card. Unfortunately for Borg this marks the third time in his professional fighting career that he was forced to pull out of the fight due to illness. Borg who fights out of JacksonWink MMA, heads into UFC 216 having won five of his Last six fights, coming off a unanimous decision win over Jussie Forimga.

Johnson is the only Flyweight champion the UFC has ever known and he’s won 6 of us 10 titled the defenses by way of stoppage. Johnson while ultra effective in the cage has been criticized by some for not being a more marketable personality.

UFC 216 will now see two worlds I’ll fight including Kevin Lee versus Tony Ferguson for the interin lightweight title.
