For the first time Glory Kickboxing is in China at Guangzhou Gymnasium for Glory 46, featuring the Middleweight title on the Line.
The main event has 2-time Glory Middleweight Champion, Canadian, Simon Marcus (47-3) making the first defense, on his 2nd reign, against Brazilian Alex Pereira (24-6). Marcus regained the title back in April with a split decision over Jason Wilnis. The same night Pereira earned this title shot with a TKO of Burim Rama.
The Superfight Series feature contest has Glory Heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven in a non-title bout with BJJ Black Belt, UFC & Strikeforce vet, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. Verhoeven currently rides a 13 fight win streak, while Silva makes his professional kickboxing debut. Inside the cage Silva has 14 win by knockout, but is currently on a 5 fight losing streak, coming off a January knock out loss to Vitaly Minakov.
