October 18th, Fresquez Productions held a press conference at Tia Juanita’s inside the Albuquerque International Sunport to announce, JacksonWink Fight Night KO 1. JacksonWink Fight Night KO 1 will be December 1 at Isleta Resort & Casino.
The main event will be a Flywieght contest between Damacio “Angel of Death” Page against El Paso’s Jesus “Honey Badger” Urbina. Page the WEC & UFC vet, is a former Legacy FC Flyweight champion. We last saw page in action on The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions, suffering a broken hand during his loss to Adam Antolin. Page has 18 of his 29 wins by stoppage, with 11 by knock out. Urbina fights out of 10th Planet El Paso and has a 50% finishing rate, all finishes have come by way of submission. Urbina is coming off being on the wrong side of a pair of split decisions losses to Joby Sanchez & Sidemar Honorio.
The co-main event is set in the Lightweight division with former KOTC Amateurt Lightweight champion, highly touted prospect, Chris Brown of JacksonWink MMA making his pro debut against number 1 ranked by Tapology Lightweight in New Mexico Harvey Park from Force of One Martial Arts in Clovis, NM. Brown last fought in April winning the KOTC amateur title with a 0:54 TKO of Raymundo Leon. Park won his 6th straight, back in June at Jackson’s MMA Series XXII, stopping Roberto Corvo by 3rd round TKO.
Also on the pro side of the card at Middleweight CES MMA vet, Knockout artist Wilfredo “Brown Bomber” Santiago Jr. of JacksonWink MMA faces submission savvy Omar Acosta from Force of One Martial Arts in Clovis, NM. UFC vet Cody “Freight Train” East & Chicago native Maurice “The Hulk” Jackson are expected to be on the card but are waiting for opponents.
