Updated Line Up for Jackson’s MMA Series XXIII
Promotional sources have confirmed to me a change at the top of the Jackson’s MMA Series XXIII card.
The new Lightweight main event will see Santa Fe’s own Ernesto Salvidrez of Extreme Fitness & Holmes Boxing against Roy “Hot Sauce” Saucedo from Force of One Martial Arts in Clovis.
Salvidrez a state champion high school wrestler, who has a complete set of grappling skills, and is even 1-0 as a pro Boxer. Following a 4-0 amateur run, Salvidrez made a successful pro debut at Jackson’s MMA Series XXI with a 1st rd Knock out of Rene Bustamante.
Saucedo went 8-2 as an amateur and hasn’t fought since making his pro debut in April of 2016, submitting Nicholas Webb.
In the co feature we ask is the third time the charm. Originally Santa Fe’s Joel Whitney 
& El Paso’s Steven Ojeda where scheduled to fight at Jackson’s MMA Series’s XXI, but Ojeda was hospitalized prior to the weigh-in’s. In lead up to Jackson’s MMA Series XXII, Whitney was forced to withdraw.
Whitney a BJJ/Thia fighter who’s looking to rebound from a LFA 3rd submission loss to Jordan Titoni. Ojeda has a wrestling base and is looking to bounce back from a 1st rd knock out loss to Cody Hoffstatter.
The amateur card will see at Flyweight JacksonWink MMA’s Ambrose vs Force of One’s Chris Cortez, also at 125 lbs. ANK Muay Thia’s Bryan Linares meets Andre Mitchell from Judgement MMA. Three contests set fro Featherweight have Jess Sander of ANK Muay Thia against Quintin Carmichael from Force of One, Edwin Cooper from JacksonWink MMA faces Force of One’s Matt Adcock, and Randy Baker from JacksonWink MMA tangles with Independent fighter Brendan Trujillo.
