Quintana-Trujillo set for Combate’s December 1st Event

Luttrell/Yee fighter Andres “The Bullet” Quintana (11-2) one of the top Featherweight prospects in MMA will be back in the Comabte Americas cage December 1st against well traveled vet Rey “The Warrior” Trujillo (22-18).

At one point in his career, Quintana won 7 straight by knockout. Following a TFP loss to Adrian Diaz, Quintana has rebounded in Combate defeating Erick Sanchez & Levy Saul by decision. Quintana the only person to win a title from the now defunct Triple A MMA, is a heavy handed striker grew up Boxing in his home town of Roswell. It’s not just the hands that make this “Bullet” dangerous but also his knees and elbows when in close. Should Quintana get the win over Trujillo, expect “The Bullet” to be calling for a title fight.

Trujillo is a Houston, Texas, native fighting out of Bloodline MMA. “The Warrior” has 14 of 16 finishes by knock out, but has been finished in 13 of 18 losses. 3-3 in his last 6 Trujillo looks to halt a 2 fight skid. Easy to say Trujillo swings hard and has the kill or be killed mentality.

December 1st, Combate Americas is at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.
