The newest addition to LFA 31 will see a Welterweight throwdown as Australia’s Matthew Frincu welcomes promotional newcomer Mexico’s Roman Alcantar to the octagon.
Frincu 24, (11-3), nicknamed “The Thunder from Down Under” trains at Arizona combat Sports. Frincu is 2-1 in LFA, looking to rebound from having a 4 fight win streak ended at LFA 24, by a Curtis Millender Head Kick. Frincu a technical striker with 6 of 8 finishes by knockout.
Alcantar 26, (6-1), nicknamed “Le Besttia” is from Chihuahua, Mexico, and trains at Fit NHB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Alcantar has finished 5 of his wins, 4 by submission. In September Alcantar rebounded from his first professional loss with a unanimous decision victory over Eddie Larrea.
LFA 31 takes place January 19, at Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, headlined by Bobby Moffett vs Thanh Le.
