The Park Theater Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada hosted The TUF 26 Finale where Nicco Montano & Roxanne Modafferi battled it out to become the frost ever UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion.
Montano (3-2), almost 29 years old started her training with Durango Martial Arts and now fights out of Fit NHB in Albuquerque, NM. The proud Navajo and KOTC Flyweight Champion, made it to the finals of TUF 26, at 12th seed, with decision wins of Lauren Murphy, Montana Stewart, and former Invicta champion Barb Honchack. Montano is currently undefeated at 125 lbs.
Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modafferi (21-13), 39 years old, training out of Syndicate MMA is Las Vegas. “The Happy Warrior” lost her semifinal bout on TUF 26 to Sijara Eubanks, who she replace, after Eubanks was hospitalized due to kidney failure from the weight-cut. Modafferi also competed on season 18 of TUF. Modafferi lost to Raquel Pennington at the TUF 18 Finale. Modafferi since dropped to 125 lbs. going 6-2 with 3 2-fight win streaks.
