Middleweight Contest Between Fierce Grapplers set for Bellator 198

Two of the top submissions artists on the Bellator MMA roster, Rafael Lovato Jr. & John Salter have agreed to match-up at Bellator 198.

Bellator 198 is set for April 28 at the AllState Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Lovato Jr. (7-0) is a 3rd degree BJJ black belt, who before signing with Bellator MMA, went 4-0 in Legacy FC, winning an once successfully defending the LFC Middleweight Title. The 34 year ole has 6 finishes 4 by submission. We last saw Lovato Jr. in the cage at Bellator 189 taking a unanimous decision from Chris Honeycutt.

Salter (15-3) is on a 7 fight win streak, all finishes, 5 by submission . In fact Salter has finished all 15 of his victories with 7 knockouts and 8 submissions. Salter was a state champion wrestler in high school, a all American in college, and won the ADCC west Coast trials last year. 5-0 in Bellator, Salter is coming off submitting Jason Radcliffe at Bellator 188.

The Card has also gained a rebooked Welterweight bout from Bellator 185 between undefeated Brazilian, Newman Gracie (7-0) & Mexico’s, Javier Torres (10-3).
