Atomweight Title Bout & Rematch Tops KOTC Perennial Card
The arm is healed up and Jayme Hinshaw will be defending her KOTC Atomweight title in the main event of KOTC Perennial, against a familiar foe.The first challenger for Hinshaw (3-3) is Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen (4-2). In February of 2017 Nguyen defeated Hinshaw by split decision at KOTC: New Blood.
KOTC: Perennial Card takes place at the Sky Ute Casino on July 13.
Following their first match-up Hinshaw would again hit a bump in the road suffering a TKO loss to Cassie Robb. The Fit NHB would return to the win column 3 months later defeating Kelly Vilarino. The performance would earn Hinshaw a rematch with Melissa Karganias. Hinshaw would again submit the Canadian. This time winning the KOTC women’s atomweight Title and doing so with a broken arm. For Nguyen the win over Hinshaw led to a rematch with then champion Andy Nguyen, who “Killer Bee” had defeated in her pro debut. The fight was close and Andy would retain. Bi then was on the losing side of a split decision with Lindsey VanZandt. Nguyen earned this rematch with Hinshaw and another title opportunity following a split decision victory over Casie Robb.
In the co-main event Wyoming’s Jake “Break” Adams (1-2) meets undefeated Sherwin Price (4-0) of Fit NHB for the KOTC Jr. Welterweight title. This past August Adams scored a 1st round knocked out Chris Dempsey. Price has 4 wins, 4 finishes, the last 3 submissions.
