Bellator 202 Headlined by Budd-Nogueira Title Bout
The Bellator Women’s Featherweight title will be on the line in the main event of Bellator 202 July 13.
Julia “The Jewel” Budd (11-2) will defend her title against undefeated Brazilian Talita “Treta” Nogueira (7-0). The Canadian champion is on 9 fight win streak coming off a split decision win in her first title defense, over Arlene Blencowe. Nogueira made a successful promotional debut submitting Amanda Bell at Bellator 182. Budd a Thia Striker with 5 finishes, 4 by knock out. Nogueira has all her victories by stoppage with 5 submissions.
The co-main event will be a Bantamweight contest between former champion Eduardo Dantas (20-5) & UFC vet Michael “Mayday” McDonald (18-4). Dantas retunrs to action for the first time since losing his title to Darrion Caldwell, back in October, a loss that ended a 4 fight win streak. McDonald made his promotional debut back in December, taking a unanimous decision from Peter Ligier, ending a 17 month hiatus.
