Bellator Women’s Flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (7-0) will defend her title for the first time in the main event of Bellator 201.
Challenging Macfarlane will be Colombian, Alejandra Lara (7-1). Macfarlane became the inaugural Bellator women’s Flyweight champion in November of 2017 submitting Emily Ducote, with a triangle choke in the 5th round. The 28 year old champion has 5 finishes 4 by submission and trains with Team Hurricane Awesome in San Diego, California. Lara is on a 3 fight win streak coming off a promitonal debut submission of Lena Ovchynnikova. The 23 year old has 6 finshes with a 50/50 knock out to submission ratio.
Bellator 201 is scheduled for June 29 at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
