The UFC will be returning to the nations most historic area at the beginning of November. One bout is official and 2 more rumored, all leading to UFC 230 being a pivotal night in the Middleweight division.

UFC 230 will be November 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Official for the card is number 5 ranked contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs number 7 ranked David Branch. Souza a former Strikeforce champion has finishes in 21 of his 25 victories, 14 by submission. Branch the former 2 division WSOF champion has 13 finishes in22 victories, 7 by submission.

Rumored for the car is the long awaited rematch between former champions Luke Rockhold & Chris Weidman. Rockhold won their first meeting at UFC 194 with a TKO from ground & pound capturing the Middleweight title. The rematch was first scheduled for UFC 199, but Weidman pulled out of UFC with an injury. Rockhold who was also injured, accepted to defend the title against replacement Michael Bisping, who pulled off the upset knocking out the heavily favored champion.

Number 2 ranked contender Yoel Romero vs. number 8 ranked Paulo Costa is also on the rumor mill. Interesting cause Romero missed weight for his last 2 Middleweight contest and was reportedly heading up to Light Heavyweight. The former Cuban Olympic wrestler has scored 3 of his last 4 wins by 3rd round TKO. Undefeated, Brazilian, Paulo Costa is 4-0 in the UFC with 4 finishes, including defeating Johny Hendricks & Uriah Hall.
