EL Cucuy to face Showtime at UFC 229

The knee is all healed up and former interim Lightweight Champion Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson will be in action in Las Vegas in October.

Opposing Ferguson will be former WEC & UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis.
UFC 229 is October 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, headlined by Conor McGregor challenging Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight Championship.
Ferguson (23-3) is on a 10 fight win streak. We last saw the TUF 13 winner at UFC 216 submitting Kevin Lee. The free style wrestling, 10th planet trained, 34 year old, Californian, has 18 finishes, 10 by knock out.
Pettis (21-7) has won 2 of his last 3, bettering Jim Miller by decision, getting submitted by Dustin Poirier, and recently rebounding by submitting Michael Chiesa. The flashy striking 31 year old from Milwaukee, has 17 finishes, 9 by knock out.
