Like the main event, the co-main event of Bellator 207 will be a Heavyweight contest. TUF 10 winner Roy “Big Country” Nelson will square off with Sergei “The Paratrooper” Kharitonov in October.
Bellator 207 is set for October 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Nelson (23-15) made a successful promotional debut defeating Javy Ayala (UD) and now looks to rebound from a February loss to Matt Mitrione (MD). The bearded slugger had been scheduled to face Mirko Cro Cop in England before injury sidelined the Croatian. Since a knock out loss to Javy Ayala at Bellator 163, Kharitonov (28-7) has won 4 straight over Chase Gormley (TKO), Sokoudjou (KO), Geronimo Dos Santos (sub), & Joey Beltran (UD); 3 of the wins came outside of Bellator in his native Russia.
