Pair of Bouts Added to UFC 230

The UFC’s November trip to the Big Apple has gained a pair contest one at Lightweight & the other at Bantamweight.

At 155 lbs. New Jersey face New York as “Groovy” Landon Vannata takes on Matt Frevola. Since a spectacular spinning heel kick knock out of John Makdessi, at UFC 206, Vannata has went to the judges decision 3 times, seeing a draw and 2 losses come back. Frevola has 4 finishes, 3 by submission, and is coming off a UFC Fight Night 124 knock out loss to Marco Polo Reyes.

At 135 lbs. New Yorker Brian Kelleher will square off with Domingo Pilarte. Back in May, Kelleher had a 2 fight win streak snapped by a knock out loss to John Lineker. Texas’s Pilarte will make his octagon debut on a 5 fight win streak, coming off submitting Vince Morales on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, to ear his UFC contract.

UFC 230 is November 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
