American Fight League will be at the Virginia Beach Convention Center Saturday August 25th presenting AFL 2, featuring a Light Heavyweight main event.
Virginia Beach’s own Undefeated Cedric “Big Dawg” Savage will clash with Cumberland, Maryland’s “Barbarossa” David White. Savage won his pro debut back in October submitting Chris Stanton by rear naked choke, while White is looking to rebound from a knock out loss to Yorgan De Castro.
Currently slotted in as the co-main event is Norfolk, Virginia’s, Damon Minor against Manassas, Virginia’s Alexander Olave. Minor came out the gate 3-0 as a pro, looking to rebound from a split decision loss to Robert Hale. Olave has rebounded from a loss in his pro debut with consecutive wins, including a 0:37 TKO of Shawn Joffe.
Three more fights complete the pro card, in a 210 lbs. Catchweight bout Fredericksburg, Virginia’s, Tony “Father of Time” Horn faces Indianapolis, Indiana’s, Jordan Mitchell, at Featherweight after an extensive amateur career Jacob Olave makes his pro debut against Mike “The Beast” Waters, who’s won his pro debut in May by submission, and at Welterweight Kendrick Harris tanles with Imani “The Resurrection” Smith.
The amateur card will feature Elite Amateur Fight League action with Team Florida vs. Team Virginia, setting up the winner to face team New Mexico. Team Florida is from American Top Team, while Rick McCoy from Richmond, Virginia, put together Team Virginia. Fights with the * to the left are the EAFL bouts.
