Volkan vs. Smith set as UFC Fight Night 138 Headliner
Top 10 ranked Light heavyweights number 2 Volkan Oezdemir & number 9 Anthony “Lionheart” Smith are set to tangle in Canada.
UFC Fight Night 138 is October 27 at the Moncton Events Center in Moncton, Brunswick, Canada.
Oezdemir burst on the UFC map with a decision win over “OSP”, an followed up with knock outs of Misha Cirkunov & Jimi Manuwa. The Swiss fighter, training in Florida now looks to rebound from a failed attepmt to take the Light Heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier. Smith is 2-0 since moving up to 205 lbs., with first round knock outs of former champion Rashad Evans & Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
Also official for the card is a heavyweight contest between Canadian wrestler Arjan Bhullar and heavy hitting Brazilian Marcelo Golm.
