Card is subject to change and we’ve got updates. There’s a new main event in place for Legacy Boxing Promotions: Aztec Warfare II.
The main event for the October 20th event at the Hispanic Cultural center will now see undefeated Aaron “Angel Baby” Perez against Durango, Durango, Mexico’s Jose Antonio Martinez. Perez was originally set to face Johnny Guillen, but elected to face the more experience Martinez when the opportunity arose, after Jason Sanchez was let out of his contract to fight Martinez on this card, so he can fight for a WBO World Title November 10 in Panoma. Four fight into his pro career Perez has 100% knockout rate, coming off a August win over Gene Perez in Hobbs. Martinez has a 55% knockout rate and is coming off a decision win over Jorge Ortega.
The change in main event comes because Matthew Esquible has been forced to withdraw from his fight with Willy Villanueva. Villanueva will remain on the card, now in the co-main event against Cuidad, Juarez, Mexico’s, Ricardo Alan Fernandez. Villanueva returns to action for the first time in nearly 6 years. A pro since 2013, Fernandez has all his victories by decision.
The opponent search for Rio Rancho’s, “Irish” Bryant McClain has came up with Pomona, California’s, Omar Barefield, a pro since 2012. Also Albert Tovar has withdrew from an announced bout with undefeated Agustin Perez Jr.
