Zalal vs. Mariscal headlines LFA 57

RLegacy Fighting Alliance will kick off 2019 in Colorado, looking to crown a new Featherweight champion at LFA 57.

Unbeaten Factory X fighter Youssef “The Moroccan Devil” Zalal will face Elevation Fight Teams Jose “Chepe” Mariscal, in the main event of the January 18 event at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

Zalal 22, started his martial arts journey in Morocco learning kickboxing and transitioned to MMA when he moved to the United States. “The Moroccan Devil” has finishes in all 6 of his victories, 5 of them by submission. Zalal continued to impress making short work of Steven Merrill at LFA 56, getting the submission with a D’Arce choke. Zalal is a big part of Factory X being a striking coach and one of the most likely to be seen cornering a teammate on a weekend he isn’t fighting.

Mariscal 26, made sure he was prepared to turn professional after a 18-1 amateur run, with 17 finishes. “Chepe” has also competed and had success in wrestling, BJJ, Kickboxing, and owns a black belt in Judo. The Chicago native has won two in a row a split decision over Pat Sabatini and picking up his 3rd submission victory, submitting Lerryan Douglas with a triangle choke in November.
