Due to injury the LFA 62 main event has went from a title fight to an interim title bout.
Unbeaten Bantamweight Champion Miles Johns has been forced to withdraw from defending his belt, with a hand injury.
Scheduled opponent, unbeaten Vincent “The Anomaly” Cachero will remain in the main event, taking on interim Flyweight champion Casey Kenney, for an interim Bantamweight title. LFA 62 is Friday, March 22, at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX.
Cachero from Hawaii, currently resides in Los Angeles, California, training at Fight Science and Black House MMA. “The Anomaly” has finishes in half his fights, with two by rear backed choke. Cachero was last in action at LFA 54, defeating Joe Murphy by unanimous decision.
Kenney from Indiana took himself west to improve his MMA game, now training out of Tucson Arizona. Since a split decision loss to Adam Antolin on Dana Whites Contender Series, Kenney has won three decisions in a row, in the LFA octagon. The most recent where Kenney became interim Flyweight Champion at LFA 53, a unanimous decision win over Brandon Royval, who replaced injured champion Maikel Perez. Kenney now can become the first multiple division title holder in LFA history.
