Former Bantamweight Champ Dantas moves up to Featherweight
Bellator 222 will see former 2-time Bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas moving up a weight class for his next contest.
The Brazilian will take on former multiple division King of the Cage title holder Juan Archuleta. Dantas ended a 2-fight skid at Bellator 215, defeating Toby Misech by unanimous decision. Archuleta is on a 17-fight win streak and is 4-0 in Bellator. The “Spaniard” has picked up 3 of his 4 wins by decision including his most recent victory over Ricky Bandejas.
Bellator 222 takes place on June 14th at Madison Square Garden, in New York, and is headlined by the Welterweight Grand Prix Semifinal of Neiman Gracie, challenging Rory MacDonald for the Bellator Welterweight title.
