The climb towards world title contention continues for Albuquerque’s, Jason Sanchez, May 11th in Arizona.

Sanchez, the current WBO Youth Featherweight Title holder will battle Adeilson Dos Santos a former IBF, WBC, & WBO title holder in an eight-round affair. Unbeaten at 14-0, Sanchez has half his wins by knockout, including his most recent win over Daniel Olea, from February in Frisco, TX. Dos Santos is a 27-year-old Brazilian sporting a 19-6 record, with 15 knockouts. The most notable fight of Dos Santos’s career was in 2017 when he fought Jessie Magdaleno for the WBO World Super Bantamweight title.

Sanchez’s fight is part of the stacked Berchelt vs. Vargas undercard. Carlos Castro (22-0) defends the WBC Continental Americas super bantamweight belt against Mario Alberto Diaz (18-2) in a 10-rounder. At Featherweight former world title challenger Miguel Marriaga (27-3) clashes with Naciff Martinez (23-10) in a scheduled 8-round encounter. Also set for 8-rounds, Miguel Parra (16-1) tangels with David Morales (23-10). And in a pair of 4-rounder’s, Manny Guajardo (4-0) faces Jonathan Espino (2-3) at Middleweight & in a rematch between local favorites Judas Estrada & Christopher Gonzalez (3-0-1), look to settle thing from there draw last November.
The event takes place at the Tucson Arena in Tucson, Arizona, undercard on ESPN+ proceeded by the main card on ESPN.
