Espinosa vs. Shcnell set for UFC on ESPN 5

The newest addition to UFC on ESPN 5 is a Flyweight match-up pitting, Contender Series vet Jordan “Chino” Espinosa up against, TUF 24 alum Matt “Danger” Schnell.

Espinosa (14-5) had to submit Nick Urso and TKO Riley Dutro to earn his UFC contract, on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. At UFC on ESPN+ 4, “Chino” made good on his promotional debut in March, defeating Eric Shelton by unanimous decision. With the win the Luttrell/Yee product has won 5 in a row. Two weeks prior to Espinosa’s debut, at UFC on ESPN+ 4, Matt Schell (13-4) jumped to Bantamweight and won his third straight by triangle choke in the first round submitting Louis Smolka. It was the 7th submission win of Schnell’s career and first finish in the UFC. The American Top Team fighter has 7 of his 9 stoppage victories by submission.

The date & location of UFC on ESPN 5 has yet to be officially announced.
